2. D.J. and Steve finally go to the next level

The biggest question facing Fuller House is about D.J.’s love life and whether or not she and Steve will rekindle their high school romance. Over the first three seasons, the high school sweethearts have had several false starts when it looked like they’d reconnect and find that magic they once shared.

After D.J. and Steve’s first false start, they both moved on with D.J. dating her co-worker Matt. Things were going really well for a while. That may be an understatement because Matt proposed in the season 3B premiere while they were in Japan. And they were in Japan for Steve’s wedding to C.J.

It just wasn’t meant to be, however, for either couple. D.J. called off the engagement to Matt and Steve left C.J. at the altar. After returning home, the pair decided they both needed to take some time away from each other before giving this another shot.

After the waiting period, there was another curveball thrown their way when Steve was offered a job as the Los Angeles Lakers team doctor. This is a dream job for Steve but he didn’t want to take the job because it meant he’d be away from D.J. again.

In the season 3 finale, D.J. told Steve that she called the Lakers and told them that he accepted the job. He couldn’t believe it, but he was happy, and when he returns in six months, they’re going to give it another shot.

I think the early part of season 4 will see Steve away as we’ll see them managing their long-distance relationship. I think Steve will return home a few episodes into the season and then the two will, finally, be able to go on some real dates and they’ll have a spark to ignite the fire that burns within their hearts. Ultimately, I think we’re going to see Steve and D.J. get married. Perhaps in the series finale.
