10. Once Upon a Time

Do you like fairy tales? If so, Once Upon a Time is the show for you!

Once Upon a Time, set in the fictional place of Storybrooke, Maine shows what happens when all our favorite characters are cursed and forget who they are.

The show includes all of your favorite characters from every fairy tale there is. The show begins with no one knowing their true self, cursed by the Evil Queen Regina, who wants to kill Snow White (Mary Margaret in Storybrooke). Prince Charming/David is in a coma, and no one knows who they are. Not until a young boy, Henry, goes to find his biological mom, Emma, the savior. Only she can break the curse, but first, she has to believe in the impossible!

With five seasons on Netflix and 134, hour-long episodes, this show is addictive. You’ll soon be fighting for your favorite ships as you see your favorite storybook princes and princess, dwarves and fairies, villains and villainesses come to life. Every actor does a spectacular job bringing their character to life.

Nothing in the show gets too dark, nothing will make you cling to the walls and keep all the lights on. In fact, it’s perfect if you watched the Disney Renaissance movies until your VHS/DVD broke as a child. These are the grown-up versions of the tales, and all you have to do is sit back and get ready for a show fit for a bedtime story.
