Stranger Things 3 needs more scenes with Eleven and Mike together
Stranger Things 2 was incredibly awesome but if there’s one thing it lacked, it was scenes with Eleven and Mike, and I hope season 3 will rectify that.

Okay, let’s talk about one of my few criticisms of the new season, under the preface, that I totally understand why it had to be this way, but I hope Stranger Things 3 will give us more scenes with Mike and Eleven together.
It wasn’t until the end of episode 8 that fans finally got to see the emotional reunion between Eleven and Mike after she disappeared into the Upside Down after defeating the Demogorgon at Hawkins Middle School. By design, Eleven was supposed to go on her own journey separate from Mike and Lucas and Dustin. That was perfectly fine and Stranger Things 2 was freaking amazing and I loved every second of it, even the controversial “Lost Sister” episode.
Having said that, after that emotional reunion when Eleven showed up at the Byers home after sending a demodog flying through the front window, I hoped Mike and Eleven would be able to catch up on old times. After all, it was 352 days since they last saw each other. I think I’ll forever have the look on the face of Mike looking at Eleven imprinted on my brain for as long as I am alive, but as soon as they saw each other, Hopper took Mike into the other room and told him he had to keep her away from him for her safety, and the safety of everyone else. And after that, she goes back to Hawkins Lab to put herself in danger again where the demodogs are running rampant and use all her powers to close the gate.
Fans just got to see Eleven and Mike together after eight episodes and now they’ve separated again, come on!
At least, the season finale gave us a nice little treat in the final scene where the boys are at the Snow Ball and Eleven showed up (even though she doesn’t even go here) and she and Mike danced and shared a kiss. Such a sweet moment for a couple of teenagers that have been through so much together and have a bond and connection that goes beyond a middle school crush or the crush on the girl you went to summer camp with.
And that’s why I hope the third season will see Eleven in school with Mike where she is hopefully living as close to a normal life as possible. She may be Jane Hopper now, but she’ll always be Eleven, and I hope we’ll get to see the relationship between the two deepen, grow stronger and see them actually having some fun adventures together instead of fighting monsters from other dimensions. Yes, this is Stranger Things still after all, so I know there will be something to that effect, but even for an episode or two, I hope we’ll get to see the two on screen together much, much more.

I’m sure The Duffer Brothers are planning more scenes and storylines for Eleven and Mike as they begin the preparation for season 3 because they know the fans demand it.
