Stephen King weighed in with his thoughts on Stranger Things 2 and couldn’t have been more glowing in his remarks.

If you haven’t seen Stranger Things 2 yet, what are you waiting for? If you watched the first season and it just wasn’t for you, then that’s okay, not every great show is going to be appreciated by every single person. That’s why we’re all special and unique in our own way.

But if you watched the first season and haven’t started season 2 yet, which was released on Oct. 27, what’s the holdup? If you’ve waited to see all the reviews pour in and see what the consensus is on the nine new episodes, you’ll find no better endorsement than the one from Stephen King.

Fans of Stranger Things know all too well about the numerous movie references to King’s works like Stand By Me, Firestarter, Children of the Corn and IT, to name a few. That means King’s opinion holds so much more weight than the casual observer. It’s like getting the acceptance of your parent or your greatest role model or mentor, and that’s basically what happened.

King shared a tweet after watching Stranger Things 2 and gave the nine new episodes a glowing endorsement.

So if you haven’t watched Stranger Things 2 yet, you may want to rectify that because if it’s good enough for King himself, it’s good enough for you to check out.

Stranger Things director Shawn Levy was floored by the King tweet and responded with one of his own. Can you imagine the elation from Levy and Ross and Matt Duffer when they saw King give his seal of approval? That had to be the highlight of their day, week, month and year. Kudos to them for that achievement.

I thought the second season was better than the first season, which earned 18 Emmy nominations, including one for Outstanding Drama Series, so that goes to show you this one is arguably the finest thing you’re going to see all year.
