5. Their chemistry is insane

Even the truest Steve-shippers have to admit that the kiss between Nancy and Jonathan just felt right.

Sure, the lines leading up to it were a little clichéd and campy, but the whole thing was just so sweet and felt like it was a long time coming. These kids just have chemistry. It’s hard to put your finger on exactly what does it, but the passion is definitely there.

Who knows? Maybe there are some romantic feelings between the actors themselves, as has been speculated before by wishful-thinkers. It really doesn’t matter if Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton ever get together though. They are dang good at looking like they want each other. There was nothing forced about their kiss.

Just the fact that we can say “this kiss felt like it was a long time coming” should probably say something about their chemistry. These feelings have been bubbling up for two whole seasons now and had to reach a breaking point eventually. Steve may have had a redeeming (seriously, it was totally awesome) storyline this season, but this doesn’t change the fact that folks have been shipping Jonathan and Nancy since the moment we first saw them on screen together.
