The Stranger Things star reveals how long she hopes to play Eleven on the Emmy-winning Netflix series and what she wants her next role to be.

Millie Bobby Brown is one of the rising young stars of Hollywood and has an incredibly bright future ahead of her. The Stranger Things star who plays Eleven on the Netflix series could have her pick of roles based on her early success on the first two seasons of the Emmy-winning series. She earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her performance in season 1 and I hope she’ll be rewarded for her work in the latest season that came out on Oct. 27.

In an interview with Variety, the actress spoke about the future of Stranger Things, which has already been renewed for a third season we expect out in late 2018 or early 2019, and how long she’ll play the iconic role of Eleven.

"“I would like five seasons, but maybe that’s just being me because I don’t want the show to end ever,” Brown tells Variety. “But I’m realistic. I’m realistically saying season four, but I hope to go on through season five.”"

Five seasons of Stranger Things would be amazing and fingers crossed Netflix and The Duffer Brothers will make that dream a reality. Previous reports have said The Duffer Brothers planned to end Stranger Things after season 4, but the door is open slightly that it could continue for a season 5.

I think that decision will hinge on how development goes for season 4 and how much of the story they have left to tell. If the quality is still there and they don’t think the show will be stretched too thin or watered down, then I think it’ll continue, and Netflix will let it run as long as it can because it’s the biggest show they have.

When Millie Bobby Brown isn’t working on Stranger Things, she does have some plans in mind for her next big project, a Broadway musical. And according to the interview with Variety, she already knows what musical would be at the top of her to-do list.

"“Matilda.” Brown said, “I like her wittiness. She’s funny and also just extremely smart, all at the same time.”"

I can imagine there are producers already on the phone with her people trying to make this a reality, and if it does, I am willing to bet it’ll be a massive success with many fans of Stranger Things seeing what she does outside of her role as Eleven.
