1. The cast and the performances

We’ve already gone into detail about three characters and the actors/actresses that portray them. It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t discuss everybody else though. Stranger Things is the smash hit it is because of the cast involved. Each person delivers a memorable performance. This is truly a team effort if we’ve ever seen one.

Other than Brown, Harbour, and Matarazzo, there are much more. The most popular one is most likely Winona Ryder, who plays Joyce Byers. She portrays a struggling mother trying to raise her two boys. Once Will goes missing, Ryder is able to deliver a career-defining performance. Much of her portrayal is very dark, sad, and depressing. At the same time, she also showcases a ton of hope.

We also have to go into detail about the rest of the group of friends. Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) are also great. The four of them together is truly remarkable, though. We only truly see them all together for a short period of time in season 1. However, when they’re on screen, they steal the show. To make another reference, they remind us of the Loser’s Club in IT, which we’re sure is one of the main inspirations.

Like we mentioned earlier, this is a team effort. Everyone involved is dedicated to turning in the best performance possible and they truly give their all.

Stranger Things, overall, is spectacular. All of the good it has mostly dealt with the cast and the performances they deliver, though. It simply wouldn’t be the same without them. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
