The answer to when will Rick and Morty season 3 be on Hulu is a bit complicated
There may not be a show on television these days that has the following of Rick and Morty. It’s a safe bet that one of the reasons the show has such a devoted following is because the release schedule for the program has been, spotty at best.
Showrunners Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland seem to delight in keeping their fans on their toes by keeping plans and release dates under wraps, then making a big announcement out of the blue.
This was certainly the case when Rick and Morty season 3 unofficially kicked off with an April Fool’s Day announcement, followed by months of radio silence. At long last, we seem to have a concrete sense of when fans of the show are going to be able to get more of their Rick and Morty fix.
Season three of the Adult Swim program will officially begin in earnest on Sunday, July 30 though when people will be able to see it on Hulu gets complicated. While the first two seasons of the science-fiction adult themed cartoon are currently available to stream on Hulu, the company has said it does not have the rights to season 3 as of yet.
That means the answer to the question of when will Rick and Morty season 3 be on Hulu has two potential answers. Those who have subscribed to Hulu Live should be able to watch the show when it airs on the network on Sunday night at 11:30 PM EST.
The problem, for fans of the show who want to watch it over and over and their leisure is that it doesn’t appear it will be inserted into the regular Hulu lineup until well after the newest season is over. What that means for Hulu Live users who attempt to add the episode to their online DVR is a question we won’t be able to answer until someone tries it.
