When will The Last Kingdom season 2 be on Netflix?
Find out when you can watch The Last Kingdom season 2 on Netflix. The show is one of the most underrated shows streaming today.
Here at Netflix Life, we like to do our best to provide show and movie recommendations to the millions of subscribers. But sometimes, it’s our readers that do a good job recommending titles to us. That was the case when several of our readers inquired about The Last Kingdom and when they could watch more episodes.

I watch a lot of TV and a lot of Netflix, but the BBC series was not one I was familiar with, but I trusted our readers and gave the show a shot, and I’m glad I did. The show has a Game of Thrones vibe to it, but it’s not based on true events and doesn’t have fantasy elements. I watched the eight episodes of season 1 in two sittings and couldn’t get enough.
Netflix quickly caught wind of the show and jumped on board as a co-producer for season 2, which is currently airing on BBC. The season 2 premiere was March 16 so it’s already halfway over at the time of publishing. The good thing is you won’t have to wait too much longer for The Last Kingdom season 2 to be on Netflix.
When will The Last Kingdom season 2 be released on Netflix?
The Last Kingdom season 2 will be on Netflix on May 5. That’s one day after the season finale airs on BBC. How’s that for a quick turnaround time?!
While it normally takes a while, sometimes more than a year, for a season of a particular show to come to Netflix, The Last Kingdom fans won’t have their patience tested.
You will be able to watch all eight episodes of season 2 beginning at 3:00 a.m. ET on Friday, May 5. I think that sounds like a pretty fun way to spend a weekend. So mark your calendars and make sure you don’t have any plans for that weekend so you can catch up with the real-life Game of Thrones.
