The Future

When a new show is released on Netflix we are inundated with a flurry of questions from our readers wondering when they can watch more new episodes. It isn’t enough to release 13 episodes on March 17, because by the end of the weekend, fans are ready for a season 2.

While there has been no official announcement from Netflix or the cast and crew from Iron Fist, we are confident there will be a season 2 for Iron Fist. The problem with this though is it likely won’t happen for another two years.

After Iron Fist airs, The Defenders miniseries will have their moment in the Netflix spotlight later this fall. Netflix will then have new seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones in 2018 and Luke Cage after that. There is also the upcoming Punisher series, starring Jon Bernthal, meaning Iron Fist is sixth in line for more new episodes and fans better brace for a lengthy wait.

The silver lining is you will be able to see the character in The Defenders and you can never rule out him making a cameo in any of the other Marvel shows, especially in Luke Cage considering their shared history in the comic books.

Marvel’s Iron Fist season 1 airs on Netflix on March 17 with episodes added at 3:00 a.m. ET/12:00 a.m. PT. As soon as more information is released we will update this article.
