Will the prison come together to fight against the “system,” or will the feuding among themselves keep them from uniting?

Obviously, this depends on what happens with Daya.

If the prison is able to unite with organized demands, they might be able to make some change happen. If the animosity and hate between the groups becomes too much to handle, it will likely lead to more of the same fighting that we’ve so much in this series.

It’s interesting, though, because the first time the inmates came together in protest, one of the prominent characters of the series was killed. Does that mean this battle against the “power” is unwinnable? Or, is Poussey’s death the powder keg that starts the war between the “power” and the inmates?

We can’t know for sure at this point, but I do have a theory.

If MCC and the guards can get the inmates to fight each other, it stops the groups becoming united and fighting against the oppressor. It would not be the first time in history this has happened.

It will be interesting to see where this goes from here.
