Will Batman v Superman be on Netflix?

It’s shattering box office records despite lackluster reviews, but will Batman v Superman end up on Netflix for fans who didn’t see it in theaters?

Were you among the thousands of fans who trekked out to the movie theater this weekend to see the highly publicized blockbuster movie Batman v Superman?

If you didn’t, you were in the minority because the movie directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman broke more than one record during it’s opening weekend.

Then again, if you didn’t want to venture out because of the dismal reviews it was receiving from fans and critics alike, no one will blame you. Plus, who really wants to sit in a jam-packed theater anyway?

If you didn’t see it during the opening weekend and instead are thinking of being patient and waiting until you can watch the movie from the comfort of your home theater, you may need to reconsider your plans if you wanted to watch via Netflix.

The chances of Batman v Superman on Netflix are awfully slim, so if you didn’t want to pay the outrageous prices to see it in IMAX because you wanted to stream it after watching Daredevil or House of Cards, you’re likely out of luck.

Netflix has trimmed their movie inventory over the last year-plus in favor of churning out more and more original programming like the two aforementioned shows as well as documentaries, stand-up specials and their first foray into Netflix movies like Beasts of No Nation.

So not having a movie like Batman v Superman or its predecessor Man of Steel not on Netflix isn’t a problem for the streaming giant because of the vast amount alternatives they provide. The good thing is you can still buy the movie on DVD or Blu-ray and watch from the comfort of your home if you don’t have time to see it in the theater.
