50 Best Documentaries on Netflix: Updated October 15, 2015
In our latest update of the 50 Best Documentaries on Netflix, Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret has joined our ranking!
Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret was directed by Kip Andersen and Keegan Kuhn. The film focuses on the animal agriculture industry and its impact on the environment.
The film follows Andersen “as he uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today – and investigates why the world’s leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it,” according to the Cowspiracy website.
A new cut of Cowspiracy was released on Netflix in September and was produced by Leonardo DiCaprio.
Overall, Cowspiracy is one of the best food documentaries on Netflix, and the information presented in the documentary is more crucial to the future of the world than, probably, any other film included in the ranking. We’re reaching a tipping point, no pun intended, and things in the food industry have to change. There’s no debating that point.
